Agent Kallus (Star Wars Rebels)
Hello everyone, welcome back for another reveal. This one was done quite some time ago but somehow I forgot to share it (oops!!). This time im venturing back into a galaxy far far away with a Star Wars Black custom of a figure I don’t think we will see from that line any time soon. So without further adieu, here is Agent Kallus
Kallus was meant to be an easy custom but ended up taking more time than I wanted it to take. He was made using a Death Star Trooper as a base with a head from a GI Joe Classified Series Duke. I stole a pair of fists from a movie Electro so I could give him a couple hand options.
I sculpted the details on the shoulders and some minor detailing on the belt, gloves and boots. I also sculpted the hair and side burns. I used some Blue Stuff to make a mold of a Storm Trooper chest armor. I then mixed up some Procreate putty, rolled it out really thin, then pressed it into the mold. Once dried, I removed it from the mold, trimmed it in the appropriate spots and applied it to the torso. I then detailed the armor with shoulder straps and his ranking marker (is there a proper name for that?)
Painting was pretty simple as well. I didn’t even prep most of the joints (that’s how you can tell it was SUPPOSED to be an easy custom), but I ended up fully repainting it in the end. The hardest things with all black costumes is breaking up the multiple layers of black. To make some of it stand out I dry brushed the pants with a charcoal grey and hit the boots and gloves with a light gloss just for differentiation.
At the end of the day, im super happy with how Agent Kallus turned out. I loved his character in Star Wars Rebels and am stoked to have him represented in my Star Wars collection. Hopefully we get an official version somewhere down the line, but until then ive got myself covered. Woo! Coming up next: X-Men Prime Angel for my homie, Stranded Customs! Stick around!
