Finn (Star Wars: The Last Jedi)

Hello everyone, welcome back! Time for another reveal. This next one was nice and easy. Quick too! I banged him out in less than 10 days time. Here is my second Star Wars Black custom, Finn in his Episode 8 attire. 

After seeing Episode 7 Finn’s rot on the pegs for well over a year, I kinda assumed we were not going to get an Episode 8 version. As I plan my next figure case reset, I have big plans for my new trilogy section of my collection, so I will need to have Finn represented in sections for both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. So I pieced together this simple custom and boom, here we are. 

Finn was made using a Force Awakens 3-Pack Poe Dameron legs and torso, Force Awakens Finn head, hands, jacket and arms, and gun and holster from Last Jedi Poe. Simple, but accurate. 

To save myself some work, I decided to utilize some of the factory paint (to avoid doing prep work and painting). The jacket, arms, and torso are all original paint. I did do quite the weathering on the jacket/arms, but the shirt underneath just has a light dry brushing. I fully repainted the pants, boots, belt and skin tone. 

Overall, this was a nice and easy break after working on my next reveal. His simplicity and guaranteed quick completion is what moved him up my ‘To-Do’ list so quickly. Regardless of the difficulty, I am quite happy with the end results. I think this works quite well for what it is. 

Up next: SECRETTTT!!!! My next reveal should HOPEFULLY be my secret santa figure I made for this year’s Fwoosh Secret Santa. I cannot reveal until my recipient has received it. Hoping to send it out early next week (if the organizer gives me the ok of course!) I’ve been hard at work on it since September so I am eager to share with everyone! Fingers crossed I can share in 2-3 weeks. As soon as my recipient reveals it, i will post it here! Thanks for stopping by everyone.
