Agents of SHIELD - Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Agent 13 (MCU)
Hey everyone, welcome back. This week I have not 1, not 2, but 3 reveals for you. I am grouping these together because I am calling them basic customs. Customs that require very minimal prep and sculpt work. Because these 3 were essentially just paint jobs, I was able to complete all 3 very quickly. So lets have a look at MCU Nick Fury, MCU Maria Hill and MCU-ish (but not really) Agent 13.
This whole project started out with the desire to make a better Nick Fury. I figured he was important enough in the MCU to have a proper figure that doesn’t look like complete dog shit. To make him, I took a Netflix Punisher figure and swapped the torso for a MCU Star Lord torso. Hands are from a Capt. Marvel MCU movie figure and head and turtleneck are from the old Agents of SHIELD 3pk.
Then I figured, if I am going to update Nick, then Maria is in for a pretty dire update as well. I took a Netflix Jessica Jones figure and swapped the jacket for the Infinity War Black Widow vest. I then slightly modified the Maria Hill Agents of SHIELD 3 pack head to fit onto the new body. She was the only one of the 3 to get any scultping (that’s a lie, I filled Fury’s peg holes too) in a strap for her leg holster. Her peg holes were also filled in using Apoxie Sculpt,
Finally, I figured since I had the old Maria Hill body left, I swapped out her feet with a broken Dr Aphra from Star Wars Black line to make her a bit shorter (or a lot shorter) and put the comic version of Sharon Carter’s head on her. Even after repainting the head I feel it still looks too toon-ish, she also looks pretty pissed off. I am not really happy with how she turned out but it was face painting practice non the less.
Overall, Im pretty happy with how these 3 came out. I didn’t need anything to be perfectly source accurate, so that helped when piecing them together. Looking forward to my move in late October so I can spread out my MCU figures and actually be able to fit Agent 13 into the shelf. Haha.
Up next… 2 secret figures. Might be a few weeks before I reveal as I should be finishing them in the next week and have them both out to their respective new owners in 2 weeks tops. I will reveal whichever one lands at its new owner first. Could it be Cable from Marvel vs Capcom (most likely - I technically started it first) or could it be my 90’s X-Men Concept Spider Man. Both were a load of fun to make. Cant wait to share!!
