Storm (Jim Lee II)
Welcome back everyone. The holiday season is quickly approaching and my personal life is already in the fast lane so this one will be short and sweet. This next one is a figure I did for a customer from NY. It is my second attempt at this character (the first try was my 3rd custom ever). Here is the leader of the Gold Team, Storm.
My customer was pretty specific on the parts he wanted me to use for this custom, so I worked within his requests. This wouldn’t have been the recipe I would have chosen, but this still works well for the most part.
Storm was made using a Rogue body with Spider Bitch arms and Phoenix heels, head and hands. The wired cape was made by my friend who makes all my wired capes.I did quite a bit of sculpting on Storm. The sleeves on the arms are fully sculpted, as are the shoulder pads, x logos and the top of the thigh high boots. I also added more volume to the hair.
Overall, I’m happy with Storm, but even better, my customer seemed super stoked. He even sent me a great shot of Storm that is far superior to any of the pics I took. I plan on taking another stab at this version of storm somewhere down the line using a different recipe but for the time being, enjoy my 2nd attempt at 90’s storm. Thanks for checking her out.
